Arthopoda is a gric word it meam Joint feet (Arthon Jointed Podos = foot. it  is largest animal phylum more than 8.5 Lakhs Species are known.

General character of phylum arthopoda -

 Cosmopoliten- Insect are Cosmopoliten in distribution whitch are found in soil, water, air, other Plant and other animals.

Triploblastic - Phylim arthopoda the animal are triploblastic (Ectoderm, Mesoderm, indoderm)

Sigmentation - In phylum arthopoda the body and legs Sigmented the animal body developed into three part (Head, therex, Abdomen)

Exoskelton- the exoskelton madeup with chitin.

Symetrical- In phylum arthopoda biletoral symetricalpresent.

 Heart - Heart is present ventral surface In phylum arthopoda the heart 13 chambered.

 Blood - Vascular System is open type, well developed mesicular System, Cold blooded animal.

Rispiration- takes place by (gils, trachia, book lungs, Spricles)

Nervus System - In phylim arthopoda well develop nervous system..

Sex- unisexual but some insect are bisexual. In •phylum arthopoda sexual dimorphism is well developed.

 Indirect development - phylum arthopoda is largest animal phylum it is develop into six classes
